Sinopsis:
Adaptación de la novela homónima de Stendhal. Narra la historia de Fabrizio del Dongo (Andrea Occhipinti) durante la época del dominio napoleónico en Italia. La tía de Fabrizio, la fascinante duquesa de Sanseverino (Marthe Keller), y su amante, el conde Mosca (Gian Maria Volonté), hacen planes para impulsar la carrera de su adorado sobrino en la corte de Parma. Sin embargo, Fabrizio es arrestado por homicidio y encerrado en la torre Farnese.
